Chabad House of Mumbai was founded in the year 2002 by the Chabad emissaries, Rabbi Gavriel Noach and Rivka Holtzberg Hy”d. The emissaries, Gabi and Rivki, were murdered during a cruel terrorist attack on their Chabad House in 2008, together with four of their guests.

In 2011, the Kozlovsky family moved to Mumbai in order to continue the activities that were abruptly halted. The place is flourishing, thank G-d, and includes: a Jewish school and kindergarten, a kosher restaurant, Shabbat and Holiday meals, help for travelers and more...

Daily Quote
The campaign of the Greeks was, as we say in the Al Hanissim prayer, aimed to "make them forget Your Torah and violate the decrees of Your will." "Let them study Torah," the Greeks implied. "Let them practice the logical mitzvot and the 'testimonial' observances. But they must not mention that the Torah is G‑d's Torah and the mitzvot are the decrees of His will. Torah and mitzvot must be severed from G‑dliness."
